TRACK

I. Start of Practice:  Practice begins as per Sac Joaquin Section Rules.

II. Schedules/competitive Levels:  A dual meet schedule will be drawn up and each league school participating will be required to meet each of the other league schools.  Baseball and Track will be scheduled so that a school will not be playing both sports at the same time and at the same place.  Track meets will be held on Wednesdays.  Track will field the following levels: varsity boys, varsity girls, and JV boys.  Prior to each meet rosters declaring team levels for that meet shall be presented to the meet clerk and the opposing coach. III. Championship:  Championship will be determined by a combination of both dual meet competition and league meet placement.  Points are awarded in descending order with one point differential for each place in both duals and TVL Meet.

If any teams tie for any given place the points will be combined for a total and divided equally among the tied teams.

IV. Minimum facility standards for TVL track meets will be established by CIF Sac Joaquin National Federation section handbook.

V. Starting times for field events will be 3:30 p.m.  Running events will start at 4:00 p.m.

VI. League Meet Rotation: Between schools with all weather tracks.  Riverbank 2022, Hughson 2023, Ripon 2024

VII. Awards:  Refer to TVL Constitution—Financial Section-III Awards.  Coach of the Year certificates are to be awarded.

VIII.  TVL Track Meet
The Track Rep will call a meeting of the track coaches to organize the TVL Meet.  (seeding, starter, timing, running the field events, etc.)
League Meet Starting Times: Field events 3:00 p.m.  Running Events 6:00 p.m.

IX.   Seniors may be recognized during breaks in the action throughout a meet.

X.  Season of Sport
League teams shall participate as per Sac Joaquin Section Bylaws:
Article 5. General Rules   504 Season of Sport
"Limited Period" dates vary from year to year.
